In 1996, the local chapter of the House Rabbit Society recommended Dr. Gayle Roberts of the Northwood Animal Hospital in Irvine, California as being one of the few doctors in Orange County who knew how to take care of bunny rabbits.
Dr. Jennifer Pursley joined Dr. Roberts in 2000 and took over the exceptional care of the rabbits. Dr. Pursley is in a wheelchair and this is actually a plus for a veterinarian. She takes the small animals onto her lap when she examines them. This is much more comfortable and less stressful for them, then the big steel tables. Teddy will go into this in more detail later.
