So, we get to grandma’s house. And mama sets up my pen in one of the bedrooms. She brought a couple of my litterboxes, hay, food, toys, and water. I just start to get comfortable when Spanky, a huge dog (mama said she was 12 lbs), came running up to my pen and barked and barked. This was bad, really bad. Mama got Spanky out of the room and shut the door. Safe at last. Mama came and rubbed my head, so it was worth it. Well, it would have been better just to get the head rubbing.
One day, before Lacy came to live with me, there was the smell of smoke in the air. Well, this was a different kind of smoke from when mama burned her dinner. This smoke came through the front door. The fire was a couple of miles away from us. So, mama left me all alone when she went to work. The smoke kept getting a little stronger.
Lucky for me, grandma had fire watch central going on and kept mama updated to the fire. Finally, grandma told mama, “You’ve got to get Teddy out of there.” So, mama came home at lunch and scooped me up. She took all my stuff and off to grandma’s house we went.
Grandma loves me.
Lacy checks out mama to see what she is doing. Lacy follows right behind mama. I mean right behind her. Lacy’s whiskers must be hitting mama’s feet. Anyway mama gets the vaccuum out of the closet and shuts the door. About 10 seconds later, we hear a banging noise. What’s that?
Lacy is trapped! She is throwing her body against the door in an effort to get out. Mama opens the closet door and finds Lacy in the closet. That girl bunny is very happy to be free.
