When Lacy sleeps she makes a cooing sound. It’s a really pretty and relaxing sounding. Even mama agrees. Grandma heard it and she said Lacy snores. I don’t want to be mean, but I stayed over at Grandma’s one night, she and grandpa, now that was snoring. I thought huge monsters were attacking the house.
I very reluctantly eat: regular parsley.
I refuse to eat: kale, little white pills no matter how cleverly mama thinks she can disguise the bitter taste, dried fruit and bunny treats from the pet store (this was a good thing as mama found out that they are very bad for bunnies), and orchard grass.
Yum. I get hungry just thinking about the stuff I like to eat. Here goes.
I love to eat food pellets, carrots, broccoli, brussel sprouts, lettuce, alfalfa hay, timothy hay, oat hay, italian parsley, celery, grapes, and spinach. And banana is my very favorite of all. It’s delicious.
Also, I love to eat wood furniture, wood anything, newspapers, phone books, important papers and mail, books, clothes, cloth bags, faux leather bags, cardboard, cords, carpet, and other good stuff that I can’t remember just right now. (I never knew how good mamas books tasted until Lacy showed me that the bookcases were really a smorgasbord. That girl is smart.)
I would love to try Rocky Road ice cream. Once I tried to get some of mamas , but she moved the bowl before I could get a bite or a lick. This is so wrong. Also, I want to try popcorn and chocolate.
Lacy found a chocolate covered macademian nut that mama dropped. She got a few bites in before mama busted her and confiscated the tasty bite. Lacy said it was delicious. And she’s got chocolate breath. It is not far. I didn’t get any.
When we get hot we need more water than normal. Mama checks our water every day to make sure we don’t run out.
The ice bottle that I mentioned last time gets water drops on it and I lick the ice bottle. It’s pretty tasty. In fact, most things are tasty.
Boy, it’s hot when mama opens the front door. Bunnies don’t like the heat. Our bunny cousins, who are wild, dig tunnels and go underground when it’s hot outside. That’s the only way to stay cool. We don’t sweat and we don’t pant to stay cool. Rumor has it that our ears help keep us cool. We don’t do good in extreme weather of either kind. The Underground never gets too hot nor too cold. It’s just right for us.
Since we live in a condo and can’t do the tunnel thing, we are lucky that our condo has air conditioning. Then in case the a/c goes out while mama’s at work, she leaves a big bottle of frozen water in the cage with us. This is good as we can cozy right up to the bottle to stay cool. Bliss.
